My gastronomy when I'm at the castle, just very tasty even if the style is rather "old-fashioned" but it fits the castle

Dinner in the dark: definitely worth it. Better if you speak German (because of story-telling), but very simple food completely in the dark. Only downside: people were quite noisy, a "shooshing-official" could be great

Have a nice day everyone, I've been here for the second time and I'm thrilled. The 3 course menu in particular is a poem! Especially at the price of 14.70 € you can't say anything more, I can only recommend it to anyone who is in the vicinity. I hope the restaurant will stay there for a long time so that I can eat there again when I visit Munich again.

We had dinner here with relatives from Berlin. There was good beer and the food recommendations were a pleasant surprise. In addition, our waitress Tanja skilfully countered the Berlin humor and we had an unforgettable evening.

The food is really delicious and the service is simply great. The portions are okay, could be a bit more, but that's more up to me. Drinks come quickly and the prices are good.

Lunch was not worth it. Schnitzel from the lower shell, dry. French fries streaked with fat. It could not be determined whether the meat or bread content was higher in the meatballs ☹️

Beautiful, idyllic beer garden by the Nymphenburg Palace Park. Ideal for a stop after a walk through the castle park. The chestnut trees provide pleasant shade in summer. There is a small play area for the kids with a swing, slide and climbing tower. We had a friendly, funny and attentive waiter. The prices are really okay for Munich and the location. The potato soup and the Kaiserschmarrn are recommended, both were very tasty. The Schmarrn is freshly prepared from 2 people (min. 25 minutes waiting / preparation time - but it's worth it!). The Covid-19 hygiene requirements are met with excellent results (separate entrance / exit, mouth and nose protection, disinfectant).

Super nice service was there for coffee with a wet dog. Was received very friendly. My dog ​​was served water in the Bayernnapf right away. Coffee and cake was delicious. I would love to come back ...

Wonderful restaurant we discovered by accident after visiting the Schloss and being caught in a monsterous rainstorm Tasty food and great service. Midpriced.

We went for lunch and order a 1/2 duck dish and a beetroot and carrot salad to share. The food is pretty good and we like the plating. I guess it's modern German/Bavarian. Service a bit slow though.

We enjoyed our candlelight dinner. The location is nice the food was great and the waiter was very special.

One of the best foods I've ever eaten in Germany. The price is reasonable and good for sightseeing near Nymphenburg. Staff friendly and really good food !! I've been there one more time and it was still delicious. 2018 Michelin restaurant

Locate Just short walk from Nymphenburg Palace. Food was excellent, service was attentive. Ambience is great, place very busy. Price is slightly dear as we order half portion but the price is not halved. Ladies toilet long queue, think need more toilet facilities for the size of the restaurant. Otherwise all good.

The Schlosswirtschaft is a bit hidden and somewhat removed from the entrance to the Nymphenburger Schloss which might account for the attempt to establish a somewhat upscale, overambitious restaurant with premium priced special events like "Eating in the dark," etc. The upscale Bavarian food is a little pricey The two waitresses covering the beer garden are friendly but a bit overworked because of the number of guests The "Knoedel Triologie" were basically three different dumplings with very few mushrooms. We would have enjoyed a basic, solid beergarden in this location more than this pricey, ambitious project.

Surround by giant palace and garden. Recommend getting a reservation. English and German menu. Giant beer garden area. Playground in beer garden area with slide and swings. Lots of concerts. On certain days they have a dinner in the dark and a candle light dinner. Inside area is very upscale. Instead of a kids menu they have an option for some dishes to be half of what they normally are. High quality bavarian food. Good service. Kaiserschmarren described as humongous but is normal size.

Easily the worst service I've seen in Munich. Firstly, the waiter acted like he hates seeing non German-speaking people, responded to our questions about the menu in the most unhelpful way possible through clenched teeth. Secondly, the service was very long. The worst came when we asked for green tea. One of the cups was broken and outright leaking! When we pointed that out he said something about the cup being mostly full nonetheless and still charged us for it despite is not touching it. I can understand a waiter having a bad day, but bringing leaking cups is something I haven't seen ever before. Just wow.

Nice beer garden, fast, friendly staff. Eat good. Refined dishes together with local and German dishes. Everything great. Come back, as I have to do each year nearby.

In short, a place with poor management and lack of service spirit. We visited the restaurant this afternoon. We were lead to outdoor table to sit by ourselves. We picked a good spot, took seats and relax there. When I saw a senior waiter passing by with eye contact, I tried to be friendly by saying hi. To my total surprise, he gave me a poker face, and then started to lecture me by saying that I should wait for the waiter to come patiently instead of calling him proactively. And he said this is the German way. I was puzzled by that German way statement of course. Over the past 3 weeks in any restaurant in German during our trip, I haven’t encountered such an attitude or statement at all. The waitress who later served us was really nice and professional though. Food is ok, but coming out slow. I gave 2 stars because of the nice lady serving us. Otherwise it will surely be a one star experience.

Wonderful traditional food, fun atmosphere, super location. If you're looking for a spot to grab some Bavarian food after visiting the Nymphenburg Palace, this is the spot! The only downside is that it can get busy!

Very nice, cool and overgrown courtyard and hearty meals. Friendly service. A welcome resort after visiting the Nymphenburg Castle. Very interesting story of the house. With this building Elector Ferdinand has given his starting point for the construction of the castle.

Only the ambience is great both indoor and outdoor. The food was ok and price was price is expensive too. The service was not faster too.

I was afraid that I was walking into a tourist trap, but I was too hungry to care. Fortunately this restaurant was delicious, the service was great and the biergarten was so relaxing.

We went here a couple of days before I gave birth. The food was tasty and had compatible prices. The atmosphere is a bit formal but service is not. When there don't miss the opportunity to visit the castle or at least the castle gardens (free admission).

The restaurant itself is nice with a good quality cuisine. The problem was a very impolite and aggressive young waiter - he should revise his manners and understand who is the customer!

This place is a must for team dinners in Munich. If you like Bavarian dishes, you should book right now.

Service was very good and food also. It has a nice biergarten, prices were OK.
